MINORITY BUSINESS OFFICE OF COLORADO

The "O" is for opportunity.

START.

It takes courage to venture out and start your own business. One thing that can help make it less intimidating is having an experienced resource to help you navigate the maze of requirements, registrations and certifications. We are that connection. We will sit down with you and help create and review your business plan and then help you determine a plan of attack that is right for your venture. We can help you find options for gaining the business expertise you need. Most of all, we can help you find a place you can turn to for answers, so you don’t have to feel like you are going at it alone.

KNOW.

In business, it’s not always enough to be an expert in your field. From bookkeeping to managing employees to finding the right suppliers, a lot of knowledge goes into running a successful business. Fortunately, an abundance of local resources also exists to help minority and women-owned businesses fill in any gaps. We work closely with small business associations, government agencies, state and local chambers and economic development offices all over the state, so we can help you connect with the right resource to help you build the knowledge you need to run your business more successfully.

CONNECT.

It doesn’t take long in business to realize that who you know can be just as important as what you know. A simple introduction from a trusted source is sometimes all it takes to open doors and get you a seat at the table. The MBO can provide that introduction. We have strong relationships with companies, government agencies and organizations that span both the public and private sectors. We can help you identify the right people and organizations to help you meet your goals. We make it easier for you to get your business on the radar of the public and private businesses, so you can reach that next level.

GROW.

Each business has its own definition of success. For many minority and women-owned businesses, these goals include a vision for growth. Whether that means becoming the largest business of your type in your city, expanding your business to other parts of the Rocky Mountain region, or even breaking into national and international markets, the MBO can help you identify who you need to talk to and how you can work to make it happen. We can even help you engage with people in the Colorado business community who can provide the knowledge and advice you need to help you turn your vision into reality.
