MBO Rural Tour’s mission is to expose businesses in rural Colorado to resources and contacts that may be difficult to obtain in remote areas, mainly in the form of training sessions.
These sessions connect small businesses with local and state resources, including:
- Local SBDC staff and consultants
- Connect2Dot Program
- Workforce Development
- Small Business Administration
- Colorado Department of Transportation purchasing agents
- Local banks, lenders and micro lending institutions
The training sessions are typically half day or full day and take place in an informal setting in which people feel comfortable asking questions and sharing challenges with other entrepreneurs potentially facing the same issues.
